NORTHERN Province District Electoral Officers have proposed to the ECZ the addition of 13 new constituencies to the province. Of the 12 districts in the province, only Kasama proposed an additional two constituencies, while the other 11 submitted proposals of one additional constituency each. The Commission was in the province to receive submissions from the District Electoral Officers (DEOs) to aid the ongoing delimitation process. During the provincial sittings, Chilubi DEO Kenneth Kafumbwe submitted that the district agreed to split the parent Chilubi Constituency to create a new Lubumbu Constituency.
