ECZ Chairperson Mwangala Zaloumis has told districts in Muchinga Province to be inclusive in electoral processes, after noticing a gender imbalance among stakeholders during delimitation sittings in Chinsali. Her comment came after she observed that all the eight districts in the province were represented only by men, including District Electoral Officers (DEOs) and representatives from the Chiefdoms, civil society and the Church. This led Zaloumis to question whether women were included in the delimitation consultative meetings. Zaloumis has also guided Mpika District to conduct further consultations on their delimitation submission after observing a significant population imbalance.
