THE Lusaka City Council (LCC) has allocated K1,680,000 from the 2026 Constituency Development Fund (CDF) towards the procurement of 840 desks for schools in Mandevu Constituency in a bid to address the shortage of classroom furniture. In a statement issued by LCC Public Relations Manager Chola Mwamba, the local authority said the intervention was aimed at tackling inadequate sitting space for pupils, a situation worsened by increased school enrolment following the introduction of free education.
