ILUTE YETA Boarding Secondary School in Western Province’s Mwandi District has a new K2.6 million solar-powered water system installed to get rid of the saline-contaminated water. Mwandi Town Council Public Relations Officer Abel Katembo told News Diggers that the school and surrounding communities have been accessing saline-contaminated water for years. “Mwandi Town Council has constructed a solar-powered water project at Ilute Yeta Boarding School at a cost of K2,696,636.00 under the 2025 CDF allocation.
