UPND Spokesperson Cornelius Mweetwa says the UPND’s constitution does not stipulate the exact date when the party should hold its convention. On Saturday, UPND member Charles Longwe said the dismissal of Gary Nkombo as party chairperson for elections by the National Management Committee (NMC) is unlawful because the committee’s mandate expired on February 14, 2026.
