HEALTH Minister Dr Alex Katakwe has disclosed that 12 new cholera cases have been recorded in two districts in the last 24 hours. Dr Katakwe also disclosed that no deaths had been recorded. Dr Katakwe says of the 12 cases, 11 were from Lusaka, while one case was recorded in Mpulungu District. Speaking during a press briefing, Saturday, Dr Katakwe said since August 2025, the country has recorded a cumulative total of 1,415 cholera cases and 22 deaths across 25 affected districts nationwide. “Today, I wish to provide the nation with an update on the cholera situation in Zambia and to outline the key response measures that the government continues to implement to control the outbreak and protect public health....
