UPND Media Director Mark Simuuwe has reported Patrick Banda and Charles Longwe to the police for impersonating party leaders. The ruling party has recently found itself in the midst of controversy, with Banda and Longwe claiming to be party members and challenging the current leadership and its mandate. Longwe claims that the current leadership’s mandate expired on February 14 and therefore has no authority to make decisions, while Banda claims that he has taken over the party as acting president.
