THE Electoral Commission of Zambia (ECZ) yesterday announced 70 new constituencies with Southern and Eastern Provinces getting the highest with nine each. Lusaka Province was allocated with six constituencies, while Luapula province was allocated the least number with five. Central Province was allocated eight new constituencies while Copperbelt, North Western and Western provinces were each allocated seven new constituencies. Muchinga and Northern provinces also got six each. New constituencies in Lusaka province included Chilanga North, Chongwe West, Kafue East, Makeni, Roma and Lima as new constituencies. In Central Province the newly created provinces included Keembe West, Mwomboshi, Bwacha South, Kapiri Mposhi West, Mkushi South, Mumbwa West, Nkundalila and Mwembezhi West.
