LEVY Mwanawasa Medical University students yesterday disrupted traffic along Great East Road in protest over escalating rape and theft cases targeting female students’ boarding houses in PHI and surrounding areas. Levy Mwanawasa Medical University Students’ Union (LEMMUSU) says the constant attacks are due to a lack of accommodation at the university. Meanwhile, the Zambia Police Service says it has engaged university management and student representatives to address the concerns raised and to strengthen safety and security measures within the affected areas.
