AFTER years of sitting on the dusty ground and using logs as makeshift desks, pupils at Chikoma Community School in Lumezi District have finally received desks procured under the Constituency Development Fund (CDF). The school is among the beneficiaries of desks procured under the 2025 CDF, with Lumezi Town Council delivering 30 desks to the remote school in Kamimba Ward. In total, the local authority procured and distributed 1,580 double-seater desks last year to schools across the district in an effort to address the shortage of desks and improve learning conditions.
