THE Media Owners Association of Zambia (MOAZ) has condemned what it terms “a barbaric incident” targeting Power FM news editor Alfonso Kasongo by suspected UPND cadres, and has called for the arrest of the perpetrators. Meanwhile, the UPND has cautioned all its members and cadres against attacking, harassing or intimidating journalists and media institutions. This follows an incident in which Kasongo was assaulted by suspected UPND cadres on Sunday while covering a party assignment in Lusaka’s Linda Compound.
