MATERNAL healthcare in Mphamba Ward of Lundazi District has improved significantly following the construction of Muchereka Health Post through the Constituency Development Fund (CDF). Constructed at a cost of K1.2 million under the 2023 CDF allocation, Muchereka Health Post now handles about 35 to 40 deliveries per month and has helped to eliminate home deliveries. Speaking in an interview in Lundazi, Muchereka Health Post Clinical Officer General Oliver Jalabani said the facility has helped capture mothers early in their pregnancies. “We have a population here of 11,000 [people].
