DEMOCRATIC Progressive Party (DPP) leader Antonio Mwanza says if the opposition does not unite, the Zambian people will use the ballot to teach them a painful but necessary lesson. His comment comes after 25 presidential aspirants recently paid their nomination fees to contest the 2026 elections. Mwanza said the continued fragmentation of the opposition was dangerous and undermined chances of electoral victory. “The message from the Zambian people is loud and unmistakable: unite or step aside. For too long, we in the opposition have failed to rise above our differences. We have ignored the clear call from the majority of Zambians who are yearning for a united front, one that inspires confidence, restores hope, and offers a credible path forward....
