UNITED Nations Special Rapporteur on the Freedom of Peaceful Assembly and Association Gina Romero has described government’s decision to cancel the RightsCon Summit as an attack on rights and freedoms. Romero says demanding “comprehensive disclosure of critical information” to be discussed at the conference is a violation of the rights to freedom of assembly, association and expression.
