PRESIDENT Hakainde Hichilema has directed law enforcement agencies to remain on high alert and ensure a peaceful environment before, during and after the August elections. The Head of State says the law will apply firmly and fairly to any individual or group, including the UPND. In a statement, Monday, President Hichilema said no action that threatens peace or public order shall be tolerated during the campaign period. “Fellow citizens, as the nation enters the official campaign period, I wish to assure the country that Zambia shall remain peaceful, orderly, and secure.
