DR Chitalu Chilufya has withdrawn his presidential candidacy in the forthcoming August general elections, despite having already paid the K100,000 nomination fee and being scheduled to file in his nomination yesterday. Dr Chilufya’s decision comes after Miles Sampa announced on Monday that the Patriotic Front had withdrawn from the presidential race, despite his faction having adopted the former Health minister as its presidential candidate.
