MUCHINGA Province Permanent Secretary, Dr Tuesday Bwalya, has praised Nakonde Town Council for effectively utilising the Constituency Development Fund (CDF) and mobilising local resources to drive community development. During his two-day working visit to Nakonde District from 13th to 14th May 2026, Dr Bwalya monitored various CDF projects and other government initiatives aimed at improving the lives of local people. According to a statement issued by the council’s public relations unit, the Permanent Secretary commended the council for constructing 95 projects using locally generated revenue between 2021 and 2026, at a time when some councils are struggling to even pay salaries.
