THE Drug Enforcement Commission (DEC) in Central Province has jointly charged and arrested five suspects following the interception of a public bus used for drug trafficking. In a statement, Saturday, DEC Deputy Public Relations Officer Theresa Mawere said a public bus which had earlier crossed into Zambia destined for the Copperbelt Province, was allegedly transporting high-grade cannabis and Benylin with codeine. Mawere said DEC officers mounted a checkpoint near Kasanda Police Station in Kabwe, where the said bus was successfully intercepted and searched.
