THE Zambia Police Service says it acted on reports made by Bilden Shaloba and Emmanuel Mweemba to arrest and charge Gary Nkombo with assault. Meanwhile, Nkombo has accused those who attacked him of wanting to silence what he described as the people’s campaign, adding that Bilden’s behaviour represents what the Zambian people rejected in the 2021 polls. Nkombo was recently attacked at Mazabuka Civic Centre by suspected UPND cadres when he went to file his nomination as an Independent candidate for Mazabuka Central constituency.
