UPND Alliance Chairperson Charles Milupi says former Local Government minister Gary Nkombo’s resignation is unfortunate but has been occasioned by his intention to stand as an independent candidate. Milupi has also urged citizens not to listen to “stale” messages from the opposition that they will bring back the body of former president Edgar Lungu once they are elected. Nkombo recently resigned from the ruling party, where he had served as former chairperson for elections and Mazabuka Central MP since 2006.
