GOVERNMENT bursaries under the Constituency Development Fund (CDF) are helping to keep more girls in school by easing boarding costs at secondary schools in Rufunsa and Luangwa districts. Learners at Rufunsa Girls Technical Secondary School and Mwavi Secondary School say the bursaries have removed the financial burden that once threatened their education and have enabled more girls to return to class. According to the Lusaka City Council, more than 20 pupils who interacted with a CDF bursary monitoring team during a recent tour of the two districts expressed gratitude to the government for the sponsorship. “We can now focus on our books without worrying about school fees.
