THE Law Association of Zambia (LAZ) has called on the Electoral Commission of Zambia (ECZ) to engage in meaningful consultations with presidential candidates before implementing any campaign management framework. LAZ says while it acknowledges the importance of maintaining public order, any limitations must be legal and be implemented with constitutional principles. On Thursday, ECZ directed that all presidential campaigns would, from June 22, 2026 be conducted under an official timetable to ensure fairness, order, and integrity in the electoral process.
