POLICE in Eastern Province yesterday cancelled the Tonse- Pamodzi rally which was scheduled to take place in Chipata. Armed police officers sealed off Mpezeni Park and blocked NRPUP presidential candidate Brian Mundubile from addressing his supporters. Eastern Province Commanding Office Robertson Mweemba says the police sealed off Mpezeni park to enforce the Electoral Commission of Zambia (ECZ) directive that presidential Candidates should convene for a meeting in Lusaka and come up with their campaign timetable.
