CHIRUNDU Constituency Parliamentary election hang in a balance after the Supreme Court ruled that the High Court expeditiously re-hears a petition by an independent candidate Wilfred Mweene who was apprehended by police while filing in his nominations. Mweene, filed a petition against the ECZ and the Attorney General in the Lusaka High Court on June 1 alleging that ECZ and the State had violated his constitutional rights to life, freedom of expression and freedom of assembly, protected under Articles 13, 20 and 21 of the Bill of Rights.
