THE Electoral Commission of Zambia (ECZ) says the printing of presidential ballot papers is progressing well, with approximately 4.7 million ballot papers printed as of yesterday. The Commission has also dismissed claims that it is printing extra ballot papers, explaining that ballots are printed in serialised booklets of 50 to accommodate different numbers of registered voters across polling stations. ECZ adds that it cannot publicly disclose the security features of the ballot papers as doing so would defeat the very purpose of having security features.
