MINISTRY of Health Permanent Secretary for Technical Services, Dr Kennedy Lishimpi has declared that the 2025-2026 cholera outbreak is over. Meanwhile, Dr Lishimpi says the country cumulatively recorded 1,627 confirmed cases of cholera, and 26 deaths in 25 districts. Speaking during a press briefing, Thursday, Dr Lishimpi said the closure declaration follows more than four consecutive weeks without a single confirmed cholera case. “Today is a significant day for our nation.
