THE Road Development Agency (RDA) has announced that rehabilitation works on the 88 kilometre Mamba–Batoka road in Southern Province have reached 53 percent completion. However, Resident Engineer Patrick Chinyama says the original completion date which is March 2027 for the project may not be met due to additions to the scope and quantities of work. Speaking during a media tour, last Wednesday, RDA Chief Communications and Corporate Affairs Manager Anthony Mulowa said the rehabilitation project is being undertaken at a contract sum of K1.1 billion. “We’re now on the Maamba-Batoka road which is 88 kilometres, another important artery in our road network.
