THE Electoral Commission of Zambia (ECZ) says it will hold a fresh parliamentary election in Mandevu Constituency, following a security incident at the totalling centre that prevented the declaration of results. ECZ Chief Electoral Officer Brown Kasaro says the Commission will announce the date for the election in due course. On August 18, 2026, ECZ received an official report indicating that unknown individuals attacked the Mandevu Constituency totalling centre, destroyed result transmission kits, and fled with documentation, preventing declaration of results.
