THE Lozi King, Lubosi Lewanika can evidently be described as the first African to receive a British Royal Family invitation for a coronation ceremony. A delve into the Livingstone Museum archives reveal that Lewanika born 1842, and ruled Barotseland from 1878 to 1916 was invited to England for the Coronation of King Edward VII in 1902.
