A 53-YEAR-OLD police officer has died after shooting himself at Police Service Headquarters in Lusaka. The officer killed himself despite nearly four hours of negotiations aimed at stopping him from taking his own life. The officer, identified as Daniel Banda of the Ballistics Unit, had reportedly locked himself in his office while armed with an AK-47 rifle and a pistol.
