NATIONAL Union of Miners and Allied Workers (NUMAW) president Saul Simujika has commended government’s efforts to curb illegal mining activities in the country. Recently, government removed illegal miners and halted illegal mining operations in Central Province. Speaking in an interview, Tuesday, Simujika said illegal mining promotes unlawful practices and unsafe working conditions, contributing to the accidents being recorded.
