ACTING Minister of Education Dr Gilbert Siame has disclosed that out of the 130,866 candidates who sat for the 2026 GCE examination, 112,640 passed. Further, the minister has revealed that 18,226 candidates failed the examination because they did not pass any of the subjects they sat for. Meanwhile, Dr Siame says 389 individual cases and 15 whole-centre cases of suspected examination malpractice were reported during the 2026 GCE examinations.
