POLICE in Nyimba have arrested a 26-year-old man for allegedly killing his girlfriend’s two children aged three years and nine months, following a dispute with their mother. Eastern Province Police Commanding Officer Robertson Mweemba says the suspect, identified as Winston Lungu of Samora 2 Compound, was apprehended after fleeing the scene. According to police, the incident happened around midnight after Lungu went to the home of his girlfriend, Mary Phiri, 23, while intoxicated. In a statement, Thursday, Mweemba said Phiri was sleeping with her two children when Lungu arrived at her home while intoxicated and knocked on the door.
