POLICE in Kalomo have detained a Food Reserve Agency (FRA) employee in connection with 2,278 missing bags of maize valued at K774,520. Southern Province Police Commanding Officer Moono Namalongo said the employee, who served as a Marketing Assistant in Kalomo District, is being investigated for theft by servant. “The Zambia Police Service in Kalomo District is investigating a case of Theft by Servant involving 2,278 bags of white maize, each weighing 50 kilogrammes and valued at K774,520.00, belonging to the Food Reserve Agency (FRA).
