THE Lusaka City Council (LCC) has directed street vendors to vacate the streets effective September 29. LCC Town Clerk Oliver Muuka says failure to adhere to the directive will result in vendors losing their trading spaces, which will be allocated to prospective traders. Recently, Lusaka Mayor-elect Chitambala Mwewa vowed to relocate street vendors to designated markets, saying it would be his first major task.
