ZAMBIA Correctional Service Commissioner General Frederick Chilukutu says prisoner rehabilitation now extends beyond prison gates, with inmates accessing free education up to university level and receiving support after their release. He adds that over 7,000 inmates have been certified by TEVETA, while 77 former-inmate cooperatives have been registered and 16 others have received individual empowerment support since 2021. He said this during the official launch of the SADC Peer-to-Peer Interaction Training Workshop for correctional facility officers in charge.
