POLICE in Kabwe have arrested and charged former finance minister Dr Katele Kalumba for allegedly issuing remarks with intent to harass and humiliate President Hakainde Hichilema. Dr Kalumba’s arrest follows the viral video in which he was seen making threatening statements against the President. It was earlier reported online that Dr Kalumba’s wife claimed that her husband was picked up by armed soldiers on Wednesday. But in a statement, Thursday, Police Spokesperson Godfrey Chilabi said Dr Kalumba was apprehended by police and charged for the offence of harassment, contrary to Section 22 of the Cyber Crimes Act No. 4 of 2025.
