GOVERNMENT says in the next five years, it will retire in national interest public servants who frustrate national development. Ministry of Local Government Permanent Secretary for Technical Services Nicholas Phiri says President Hakainde Hichilema has not retired anyone in national interest, a situation he says has not worked. Meanwhile, Central Province Permanent Secretary Dr Milner Mwanakampwe says public service workers who sabotage government will be met with maximum force without fear or favour. Recently, President Hichilema fired Deputy Inspector General of Police in charge of Administration Charity Munganga, amid speculation that more changes would be made in the Police Service.
