SPEAKER of the National Assembly Nelly Mutti has announced that the UPND has appointed Solwezi North MP Stafford Mulusa as Government Chief Whip and Matero MP Alexander Sakala as Deputy Government Chief Whip. Recently, the NRPUP appointed Ezra Tembo as Leader of the Opposition in Parliament, Milenge MP Gystave Chonde as Party Whip and Nyimba MP Paul Lungu as Deputy Party Whip. In 2021, the UPND appointed Mulusa as Government Chief Whip and Princess Kasune as Deputy Government Chief Whip. Kasune was later elevated to a ministerial position and replaced by Likando Mufalali on February 21, 2025.
