ELECTORAL Commission of Zambia (ECZ) Commissioner Zevyanji Sinkala says six wards across five districts will go to the polls on November 5 2026, with training of poll staff already underway. Last month, the Commission scheduled November 5 for two parliamentary by-elections in Mandevu and Lumezi North and 12 local government by-elections, comprising 11 ward by-elections and the Mbala mayoral election. However, the UPND has gone unopposed in the Mandevu and Lumezi North parliamentary by-elections and the Mbala mayoral by-election following the withdrawal of opponents.
