YESTERDAY we appreciated a statement from the UPND spokesperson, Honourable Cornelius Mweetwa, who urged UPND members not to react angrily to criticism. Honourable Mweetwa is of the view that the UPND needs to learn from criticism while it is in government, as opposed to waiting until after the party is removed from power, which was the case with the Patriotic Front. We agreed with his statement and went further to ask the question of whether the ruling party has what it takes to embrace criticism and learn from it.
