IT has been over 10 months since President Hakainde Hichilema dissolved the Financial Intelligence Centre Board. When the decision to dissolve the IFC board was made on December 8, 2021, we were told that the new board would be unveiled soon after consultations. To our surprise, the President has chosen to leave this very important institution without leadership for almost a year now. What is even more surprising is that the Industrial Development Corporation (IDC) board which was dissolved on the same date as the FIC board was reconstituted seven months ago.
