CLAIMS by former defence minister Davies Chama that those who are being arrested on corruption allegations relating to the procurement of the Gulfstream presidential jet are being persecuted, cannot pass without comment. The former minister was commenting on the move by the Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) to arrest former army secretary at the Ministry of Defence Evaristo Sakala and five others before him in relation to the same transaction. Mr Chama said being a member of the ministerial procurement committee has now become a risk. Davies CHAMA: “The sad part of what is going on is that all procurement committees now will be indicted in future, that is why things are not moving, probably because people are scared to make decisions....
