ON WEDNESDAY, Zambian citizens woke up to some breaking news that former president Edgar Lungu’s residence had been surrounded by police officers. It was not clear at first why police officers would surround the former president’s house, apart from that the officers wanted to search the premises. As the day progressed, images and videos started populating the Internet. It came to pass later that the operation had to do with some motor vehicles and a dispute among the former first family members.
