LAST week, the Minister of Mines Honourable Paul Kabuswe made an alarming statement in parliament, saying the announcement around the return of Vedanta to take over Konkola Copper Mines (KCM) was based on a verbal agreement as no deal has been signed yet. A day earlier, the Minister of Energy Honourable Peter Kapala was running away from questions from parliamentarians who were demanding answers on how government is administering the fuel transportation policy which has caused a crisis in the sector.
