IN this final instalment of our argument against the collective condemnation of “no bail” to all stock theft suspects and those accused of sexual offences, we want to quote the words of learned Counsel Dickson Jere. Jere, a veteran journalist has put it more simply by taking us back to the Constitution to understand the essence of bail and police bond in the first place. In line with our observation, Jere echoes the concern that court cases normally take longer than two years to wind up in Zambia.
