YESTERDAY, we pointed out that not every person who voted for President Hakainde Hichilema is a 100 percent loyalist of his leadership. We argued that there are different clusters of citizens who gave him their vote and that each of these groups carries specific expectations as the President addresses the nation today through his second-term inauguration speech.   As we continue to share our view on expectations from today’s speech and the post-election developments, we want to implore the President to open this new chapter by acknowledging that parts of the campaign and the period immediately after voting have left some citizens deeply unsettled.   The campaigns were not without bitterness.
