An 18-year-old of Lusaka’s Salama Park area has appeared before the Lusaka Magistrates’ Court for allegedly killing his parents. When the matter come up before magistrate Jacqueline Gondwe for explanation of the charge and committal to the High Court, the magistrate adjourned the matter awaiting a report from social welfare. The teenager is facing two counts of murder contrary to section 200 of the penal code Chapter 87 of the laws of Zambia. It is alleged in count one that the teenager, on August 6, 2022, jointly and whilst acting with other persons unknown did murder Alphonstah Mwalacheya.
