THE Public Accounts Committee yesterday sent away the Ministry of Finance and the Zambia Revenue Authority (ZRA) for failure to submit adequate documentation as they responded to queries highlighted in the latest Auditor General’s report. And the Committee has heard that ZRA irregularly awarded a tender to Copperbelt University to develop an online tax platform at a total cost of K90 million when the university had no track record of having been previously engaged in such a contract. The Committee further heard that the Authority single-sourced services of the university without obtaining a no-objection notice from the Zambia Public Procurement Authority (ZPPA).
