THE Ministry of Fisheries and Livestock has justified the award of a contract for supply of motorbikes to the highest bidder, a company called FES, otherwise formerly known as Power Equipment Limited. The selected bidder offered to supply 332 motorbikes to the government at a cost of K32, 221, 835.04. This is against the offer from the lowest bidder, Saro Agro who bid to deliver the units within the same period at a cost of K20, 584, 000.00 or Honda who bid to deliver at K22, 505, 616.00 in less time.
